Dear Members of the North Carolina ABC Commission, I am writing as a North Carolina consumer to respectfully urge you to reject any proposal establishing floor pricing for spirituous liquor. North Carolina already has a highly regulated pricing system. Adding a minimum price that prevents discounts would only increase costs for consumers while reducing competition and choice. Responsible adults should be allowed to benefit from legitimate sales, not be required to pay artificially higher prices. I support responsible regulation and public safety, but I do not believe floor pricing is the right approach. I respectfully ask the Commission to prioritize consumers and reject this proposal.
